                 Demonstration Dinners

Try an intimate demonstration dinner in our custom kitchen here at Applewood; four courses of cuisine, paired and served with fine wines, prepared step by step and served. All dinners are accompanied by a syllabus which includes all recipes, and can be scheduled on Tuesday evenings at 6:00 and last approximately two and a half hours. Cost is $75.00 per person and includes a complete meal, syllabus and wine.

  • Fresh corn chowder with lemon thyme
  • Pan seared pork tenderloin with hazelnut mint pesto, orzo in a roasted garlic cider cream, chilled green beans with a dijon-dill vinaigrette

  •  Green chili polenta cakes with a red chili cream sauce
  •  Chilled gazpacho with jicama
  •  Pan seared salmon with kiwi salsa, pinon nut pilaf and sautéed zucchini with corn and fresh oregano
  •  Cinnamon shortcakes with blackberry compote

 

  • Green onion pancakes with a ginger sesame dipping sauce

  • Baby green salad with cashews and an orange sesame vinaigrette
  • Five spiced breast of chicken on a bed of Thai cabbage salad, chilled green beans with a Szechwan mustard and fried wild rice with shitaki mushrooms
  • Kiwi and carambola tart with a midori-lime whipped cream

We also offer a holiday appetizer and hors d' oeuvres class for up to 36 people. Eight items are prepared and presented over the course of one and half hours while wine is served. "Students" follow along with all the recipes, and when all eight are finished and ready to go, they are then served buffet style and the group will then have another hour and a half to eat and drink!
